Connecting Stripe

Set up your Stripe account so tenants can pay you directly.

Stripe handles all the money movement in Domara. When a tenant pays rent, the funds go through Stripe and land in your connected bank account. You need to connect Stripe before you can collect any online payments.

How to connect

  1. Go to Settings in the sidebar
  2. Scroll to the Payment Setup section
  3. Click Connect Stripe Account
  4. Stripe will walk you through their onboarding — you'll enter:

- Your legal name and business details

- Bank account for payouts

- Identity verification (required by financial regulations)

  1. Once approved, your status will show as Connected

Payout timing

Stripe typically deposits funds to your bank account within 2-3 business days after a tenant pays. You can check payout status in your Stripe dashboard.

Tips

  • This is a one-time setup — once connected, all future payments flow automatically
  • Use your real info — Stripe requires accurate identity and bank details for compliance
  • No cost to you — there are no Stripe fees for landlords. Transaction fees (3.5% card, $1 ACH) are paid by tenants
